Terms of Service

Last updated:

These terms govern your use of aiArch. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. We've kept them as short and readable as we can — the short version: be the only person on your account, use the content for your own learning, treat the AI coach as a fallible study partner, and we'll treat you fairly on billing and refunds.

1. Who we are

aiArch is operated by Wibo van der Sluis, trading as aiArch, Amsterdam, Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 50937782. You can reach us at hello@aiarch.dev. We aim to respond to any question or complaint within a few business days.

2. Definitions

3. The Service: a continuously evolving platform

aiArch is continuous professional development, not a fixed course. The field it teaches changes weekly, and the Service changes with it: lessons are revised, curriculum is added and restructured, quiz items are updated, certifications and their exam guides evolve, AI models behind the coach are swapped for better ones, and features are improved, added, or retired. By joining you get a platform that is kept current — not a snapshot frozen at the day you subscribed. Where a change would remove something material you rely on, section 14 (changes to these terms) and section 5 (cancellation) protect you.

4. Your account is personal

5. Membership, billing & refunds

5.1 Annual membership

The Membership is billed annually, in advance. The price shown at checkout is the total price and includes VAT where applicable. Prices are in USD unless stated otherwise.

5.2 What's included

A Membership includes the full curriculum, the mastery engine, the AI Coach (subject to the fair-use policy in section 8), and continuously updated content, for the duration of your Membership.

5.3 Renewal and cancellation

Your Membership renews automatically at the end of each annual period, at the then-current price for your plan, so your access is not interrupted. We will remind you by email before each renewal, including the price that will apply. If we raise the price for your plan, the reminder will say so clearly, and you can cancel before the renewal takes effect.

You can cancel at any time from your account settings or by emailing hello@aiarch.dev:

5.4 Access after cancellation or expiry

When your Membership ends, access to the paid parts of the Service ends with it. Anything free (such as free tracks and the sample lesson) stays available. What happens to your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy — you can export or delete your data from your profile at any time.

5.5 Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, we notify you and our payment provider retries it. If payment continues to fail, your Membership is simply not renewed and ends at the end of the period already paid for. We don't charge late fees.

5.6 Withdrawal right and our 14-day money-back guarantee

If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you have a statutory right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of concluding it, without giving a reason (article 6:230o of the Dutch Civil Code).

We go slightly further, for everyone: a 14-day money-back guarantee, no questions asked, honored worldwide. Within 14 days of first purchase, email hello@aiarch.dev (or use the model withdrawal form below) and we refund the full amount — even if you've already used the Service extensively. We refund within 14 days of your notice, using the payment method you paid with.

Model withdrawal form (only fill in and return this form if you wish to withdraw from the contract; a plain email with the same information works too):

— To aiArch / Wibo van der Sluis, Amsterdam, Netherlands, hello@aiarch.dev:

— I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the provision of the following service: aiArch Membership

— Ordered on: ...

— Name of consumer: ...

— Address of consumer: ...

— Signature of consumer (only if this form is notified on paper): ...

— Date: ...

By purchasing you ask us to give you access to the Service immediately, during the withdrawal period. That costs you nothing: our guarantee above means a full refund within the first 14 days regardless of how much you've used.

This guarantee applies to the first purchase of a Membership, not to renewals — for renewals, section 5.3 gives you a stronger right: cancellation at any time with at most one month's notice and a pro-rata refund.

6. Your licence to the Content

Subject to these terms and an active Membership (or free access, for free Content), we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Content for your own professional learning. That includes downloadable material: you may keep and use it personally, but it remains licensed, not sold.

All Content, and the Service itself, remain the property of aiArch (or its licensors). Purchasing a Membership transfers no ownership of any Content. No rights are granted except the licence in this section.

Third-party names and marks — including AWS, Anthropic, Cloudflare, and the names of any certifications — belong to their respective owners and are referenced for identification and educational purposes only. Their use does not imply affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement.

7. Acceptable use

When using the Service, you agree not to:

Short quotations with attribution for reviews, commentary, or sharing what you've learned are fine — that's fair use in the everyday sense, and we encourage it.

8. Fair use of the AI Coach

The AI Coach is included in the Membership under a fair-use policy: each Account has a usage allowance per rolling period, sized so that normal, regular study is never interrupted. If you reach the allowance, the coach pauses and tells you when it will be available again; access resumes automatically at the start of your next period. All other parts of the Service — lessons, quizzes, reviews, and your progress — remain fully available. We may adjust the allowance over time to keep the Service sustainable and fair to all Members; adjustments are made so that normal study remains unaffected.

9. The AI Coach can make mistakes

The AI Coach is powered by large language models. It is a capable study partner, and it is also fallible:

If the coach tells you something that contradicts the learning content or a primary source, trust the source — and please tell us.

10. Educational purpose — what we don't provide

The Service provides educational information only. It does not provide legal, financial, tax, or employment advice, and no consulting relationship is created by a Membership.

aiArch is independent and not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by AWS, Anthropic, or Cloudflare. Preparing for a certification with the Service does not guarantee you will pass any exam, and completing any part of the curriculum does not guarantee employment, promotion, or any salary outcome. What we promise is current, well-sourced material and honest assessment — the results are yours to earn.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your Account and Membership if you materially breach these terms, including in cases of: abuse of or attacks on the Service; scraping or bulk copying; credential sharing or account resale; attempts to bypass usage limits or extract answer keys; reverse engineering; illegal activity; or repeated violations after a warning.

Where reasonable we will warn you first and give you a chance to respond; for serious abuse (such as attacks on the platform or systematic content theft) we may suspend immediately.

If we terminate for a material breach, your access ends and — to the extent the law allows — prepaid fees for the remaining period are not refunded. If you end your Membership, or we end it for any reason other than your breach, section 5 applies (including pro-rata refunds where provided). Sections 6, 7, 12, 13, and 16 survive termination.

12. Service availability

We run the Service with care on serious infrastructure, and we don't promise perfection: maintenance windows, updates, and occasional downtime happen, and features may be improved, changed, or removed as the platform evolves (see section 3). The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" to the extent permitted by law. This does not limit any warranty or conformity rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.

13. Liability

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product grows. When we make a material change, we will notify you in advance by email or in the product, and update the "Last updated" date. If a material change is to your clear disadvantage and you do not wish to accept it, you may cancel your Membership before the change takes effect and we will refund the unused remainder of your prepaid period pro rata. Minor changes (clarifications, new features, corrections) take effect when published.

15. Force majeure

We are not liable for failures or delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including outages of upstream providers (hosting, authentication, payment, or AI-model providers), internet or power failures, government measures, or other events that Dutch law treats as force majeure (overmacht). If such a situation lasts more than 30 consecutive days and materially deprives you of the Service, you may cancel and we will refund the unused remainder of your prepaid period pro rata.

16. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Dutch law. If you are a consumer living in another country, you also keep the protection of any mandatory consumer-law provisions of that country.

If you have a complaint, contact us first at hello@aiarch.dev — we mean the "no questions asked" ethos beyond refunds and will try to resolve it directly. Disputes that we cannot resolve together may be brought before the competent Dutch court. If you are a consumer, you may also choose the court that is competent under the law of your country of residence; and where Dutch law gives you a month to opt for the legally competent court after we invoke a forum, that right is unaffected.

17. Final provisions

If any provision of these terms turns out to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in force, and the invalid provision is replaced by a valid one that comes closest to its intent. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, are the whole agreement between us regarding the Service. You may not transfer your Membership or Account to someone else; we may transfer this agreement as part of a business transfer, with your protections intact. These terms are concluded in English, and we communicate with you in English. You can save or print this page; we also include a copy with your purchase confirmation.
